Lukaku on National Duty leaves Fans at Manchester United Fuming

The Premier League is on an international break for two weeks. The players are busy with national duty all around Europe. But the fans at Manchester United are fuming with their star striker Romelu Lukaku attending the national call. The Red Devil fans at Old Trafford are furious over Romelu Lukaku joining the Belgian squad as the striker is suffering from an injury.

Premiers League’s leading scorer of the season Romelu Lukaku is away with Belgian National team. The fans however at Old Trafford want the striker to be sent home owing to an injury. The fans at United became angry when they heard that the striker has attained an injury. The news came after Romelu Lukaku joined Belgian team and was announced in the squad despite being injured.

The injury scare to Lukaku is not new. The striker was doubtful for the game against Crystal Palace. The 24-year-old despite being under an injury cloud played on Saturday. The new number 9 at Manchester United scored a goal as United thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0.

For the fans, it was some relieving news on Monday. The Belgium international underwent scans on his leg. The scans showed promising signs as there no break or ligament damage. The only thing bothering Lukaku is that he is still recovering from an ankle knock. The national medical team at Belgium camp have set individual training program for Lukaku. This is done to make sure the striker has a fast road to recovery. Despite efforts by Belgium team doctors, United fans are not anywhere to be happy. The fans at Old Trafford want Lukaku sent back to Manchester so that he can complete his rehab. Fans do not want any further injury to their striker especially when Belgium has already qualified for the World Cup. The fans at United want Romelu back at Old Trafford as they don’t want to risk him in the upcoming FIFA European Qualifiers.

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez, however, does not agree with Manchester United fans. The manager has refused to rule out Lukaku against the upcoming tie with Bosnia over the weekend. Interestingly, the news of Lukaku playing over the weekend hasn’t gone down very well with Jose Mourinho.
